Yoga Songs at Trinity Church Camp

A favorite song at Trinity Church Camp yoga class is the "Dance for the Sun" by Kira Wiley. There is a link on youtube where you can hear the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_SZ0A7iXA8
Unfortunately the video seem to have a problem. But if you know a kid that went to Hollywood, the 2011 Trinity Church Camp, he can teach you all the moves.

Here is another song that will get everyone moving! Tick Tock, Little Yoga Clock! We do this in class sitting down, stretching our legs wide apart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R80uvnTdHmc

In our class we also do lot's of yoga poses to the tune of "You're a Miracle." by Renee and Jeremy. You can hear it in their website. It's in the playlist of their album "It's a Big World." Check how many different poses your little yogi can do to this tune!

We love to do Freeze dances with animal poses. Here is a song we danced called the Nature Freeze dance. http://www.amazon.com/Nature-Freeze-Dance/dp/B001NGWECM
But any good dancing song is good for an animal freeze dance!!

We also do lots of swimming and sea animal poses to the sound of waves! We even mimic waves:
This is the song we listen to while we swim with sharks, whales, fish, turtles, star fish, jelly fish, crabs and dolfins. We even surf back to the sand!
The song is called Sleepy Baby and the Sea, and it's the first song of Raimond Lap's album Lovely Sleepy Baby and the Sea. You can hear the beginning of the song here: http://www.amazon.com/Lovely-Sleepy-Baby-Sea/dp/B0026IQT2M

The Yogi crowd at Trinity Summer Camp is so much fun! Perhaps because there everyone is a STAR!

Free Yoga in Central Park

There is this amazing yoga meetup in Central Park on Tuedays at 6:30. It meets in Sheep's Meadow (South part, by the big rock), it includes partner poses and it's free.
There is nothing like practicing yoga in the Nature! Check it out!
